Re: painting elf, owl, dwarf one-foot high decorative statues?

An answerer said, use ceramic paint. Is that acrylic paint? Is it as good for the purpose? Or is there a specific ';ceramic paint?';Re: painting elf, owl, dwarf one-foot high decorative statues?
I have a friend that does the same. He uses special sign paint. I would contact a paint store for advise for the proper way to proceed.Re: painting elf, owl, dwarf one-foot high decorative statues?
if the piece is to be fired use a ceramic glaze and fire at the recommended for that color or brand of paint. if you are not firing your statue use non firing ceramic paint or tole paint found at a craft store. the small bottles of tole paint run about 69 cents to about 2 dollars.
