Decorative painting around outdoor pool?

I've been asked to help a friend paint some designs on the concrete around her pool. What prep is needed for the concrete, and what kind of paint is used? Do we seal it after painting? ThanksDecorative painting around outdoor pool?
There is special concrete paint. It is weather resistant and comes in a variety of colors.





For 'high traffic' areas an epoxy ester or a 2 component catalyzed epoxy coating would be useful.





You could even do the design in chalk and use the epoxy to fix it in place. But that would be pretty experimental.
